The team had the opportunity to support the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) team in Brandon conduct trials of their new drone. The exercise conducted around Camp Hughes ( South of Highway 1, near Carberry) has members of our team acting as lost individuals for the drone to attempt to locate. The team provided First Aid support to the Victoria Inn Hockey Tournament at the beginning of December. Thanks to the members who volunteered to keep the players safe.


Congratulations to Squamish SAR for winning the 2023 Defender Service Award for Search and Rescue. BRSARA host an open house on 4 November to show off our capabilities to the community which we serve. Brandon Search and Rescue has a new capability. We have acquired two new KEQJSK electric mountain bikes to assist in searches and provision of assistance at events. In addition Burley (http://burley.com) have donated two bike trailers to transport equipment, further improving our capability to respond on any of of our Search and Rescue tasks.
