Missing Person Update Shortly after 10:00 am on June 16th family members of 20 year old Vishay PATEL reported him as missing. An investigation was launched by Brandon Police Service which led police to believe that Vashay was last seen in the area of the Discovery Centre. Summer sees Brandon Search and Rescue continue to be busy in our community and throughout the province: On 10 – 11 June, Seven team members provided First Aid support to the “Suffer on Centennial ” Adventure race at WESTHAWK Lake. Over the past week, BRSAR have been very busy with support to the community and to the province. On morning of 24 May 2023 Manitoba Office of Fire Commissioner / Chief K-9 Instructor Jay Palmer tested SAR Dog Luke and his handler/trainer Leon Flannigan for tracking and person searches. Track was approximately 1.6 km long and aged 45 minutes. Track test was conducted at an industrial site / Brandon Airport. Industrial tracks are regarded as harder for dog to do than rural tracks.
